On Wednesday, June 25th, NYRC alumn John M. Leventhal received the Vincent Doyle award at the New York State Bar Association Annual Meeting. The court librarian, Mr. Bosso, sent the message below to all the court employees. On the 27th, he ventured up to Dutchess County where he presented a Continuing Legal Education program in the morning to the county’s bar association on Confrontation under the Sixth Amendment in the aftermath of Crawford v. Washington. He then was the Keynote Speaker at a Family Services luncheon program on domestic violence.
Our Hon. John M. Leventhal was the recipient of the Vincent E. Doyle Jr. Award for Outstanding Judicial Contribution in the Criminal Justice System as part of the 2017 New York State Bar Association Criminal Justice Section Annual Meeting Awards yesterday. This award honors “outstanding judicial effort to improve the administration of the criminal justice system.”
